Want to serve on the PTSO Board in an easy, low time commitment position? If so, the merchandise manager could be just the fit! We are recruiting for a new merchandise manager for the 2025-26 school year. This truly is an easy way to be involved - reach out with questions or to express your interest!
All positions for the 2025-26 school year are filled!
President - Our Fearless Leader
You’re the heart of the operation, guiding our PTSO ship with confidence and kindness! The President works closely with the CMS administration, fellow Board members, and the broader school community to help create awesome experiences for our students. This role leads regular Board and general meetings, serves as the main point of contact between the PTSO and the school, and (if
not a teacher) is authorized to sign on the PTSO bank account.
Vice President - The Master Juggler
You’ve got the multitasking magic! The VP helps keep everything moving smoothly behind the scenes, especially when it comes to communication. This role manages the PTSO email account, answers questions or forwards them to the right people, and helps lead special efforts like Staff Appreciation Week. You’ll also be a signer on the bank account and ready to step in wherever
needed.
Secretary - The Storykeeper
You’re the official memory-maker of the PTSO! The Secretary keeps track of what happens at meetings by recording and distributing minutes and agendas, sending out meeting reminders, and making sure important documents are organized and accessible. You’ll also coordinate with the Web/Media Chair to post minutes online, pitch in at events, and help weigh in on decisions. Plus,
you'll be a signer on the CMS PTSO bank account.
Treasurer - The Math Whiz
Budgets, reports, receipts—oh my! The Treasurer keeps a close eye on the PTSO’s finances and helps the Board make smart, informed decisions. You’ll give a financial update at each meeting, help prepare the budget, and support fundraising plans. While you won’t sign checks (to keep things squeaky clean), you’ll be the go-to for all things money.
Merchandise Chair - The Spirit Wear Superstar
You keep CMS looking sharp! The Merchandise Chair runs our apparel sales—choosing cool products, scheduling sale dates, promoting merch, and organizing distribution. You’ll be the point person for vendor coordination and help families get the gear they need to show their school spirit.
Web/Media Chair - The Digital Dynamo
If it lives online, our Web/Media Chair is on it. You keep the CMS PTSO website fresh and up to
date, manages social media posts, and helps with other digital design projects. You make sure
our community knows what’s going on and has the info they need, when they need it.
Volunteer Chair - The People Wrangler
Our Volunteer Chair is the matchmaker between helping hands and big needs! You work with
the PTSO Board to identify where support is needed—whether it’s a big event, a small task, or
something in between— and recruits and organizes volunteers to make it all happen. You're the
friendly connector who makes sure no one goes it alone and everyone has a way to pitch in.
